The Refrigeration Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of production equipment within the FMCG industry. Based in Bradford, this permanent role requires a hands-on approach and a focus on maintaining high standards of operational efficiency.

This opportunity is working for a poultry processing business that focuses on delivering high-quality products to its customers.

Duties will include however not be limited to:

  • Performing routine maintenance and repairs on production machinery - blast freezers and air conditioning maintenance
  • Carrying out reactive and planned refrigeration maintenance
  • Diagnosing faults and identifying non-repairable issues
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards during all maintenance activities
  • Collaborating with the production team to schedule and prioritise maintenance tasks
  • Recommending replacements and repair solutions where required
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance
  • Ensuring all equipment is operating safely and efficiently

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in refrigeration and air conditioning maintenance
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Good teamwork and communication skills
  • F-Gas certification - desirable

Job Offer:

  • Working hours are Monday to Friday - 6am - 5pm
  • Annual salary ranging from £50,000 to £60,000
  • Access to a free canteen on-site
  • Free onsite parking
