Description:
- Financial Leadership & Reporting: Deliver monthly management accounts with full balance sheet integrity, supported by clear commentary and KPI analysis. Continuously improve financial controls, processes, and reporting frameworks. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modelling to support strategic decisions. Manage the year‑end process, including audit preparation and liaison with external advisors.
- Operational Finance & Commercial Insight: Oversee weekly performance reporting, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities. Conduct site/venue audits to ensure compliance and operational efficiency. Provide financial modelling and support for commercial initiatives, including new openings and investments.
- Cash, Treasury & Compliance: Manage cash flow forecasting, payment cycles, and bank reconciliations. Ensure accuracy of revenue reporting across multiple income streams and systems. Oversee statutory reporting requirements including VAT and other sector‑specific returns.
- Team Leadership & Cross‑Functional Support: Support payroll processing and reconciliation. Work closely with operational teams to ensure accurate and timely submission of financial information. Provide guidance and oversight to transactional finance functions.
- Ad‑Hoc & Strategic Projects: Deliver insightful financial analysis to support key business decisions. Contribute to operational and financial improvement initiatives across the organisation.
Profile: A successful Financial Controller should have:
- Be qualified by experience in a similar role.
- A recognised part qualified accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
- Proven experience in the accounting and finance sector, ideally within hospitality.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and compliance practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
