This role is based within an organisation in Birmingham.
Description
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely updates to the accounting system.
- Assist with preparing financial reports and statements.
- Support month-end and year-end processes, including reconciliations.
- Process invoices, payments and expense claims efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial information when needed.
- Help identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data.
- Contribute to the improvement of financial processes and systems.
Profile
A successful Assistant Accountant should have:
- A background in accounting or finance, with knowledge of accounting principles. - Qualified/Part Qualified ACCA/CIMA/AAT/QBE
- Experience using accounting software and tools.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Clear communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
Job Offer
- Permanent position based in Birmingham.
- Salary ranging from £40,500 to £50,000, dependent on the level of experience.
