As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for your own caseload of legal cases, as well as providing project and administrative support to the legal counsels and senior legal counsel. Our client is one of the largest housing associations in England.
Description
- Gathering title packs and collating legal documents
- Searching legal records and sourcing relevant information
- Reviewing local planning authority records
- Carrying out legal searches
- Dealing with or referring enquiries to Senior members of the team for comment
- Processing private owners' applications for consent to make home improvements
- Handle wayleave enquiries and related documentation
- Respond to day-to-day queries from the wider team
Profile
A successful Legal Adviser should have:
- Ideally, experience from within housing or a local authority, but it is not essential if you have an understanding of conveyancing or property portfolios.
- Knowledge and experience of dealing with matters that relate to property transactions, conveyancing, and/or the ownership and proper management of a property portfolio.
- A high attention to detail with the ability to work flexibly to deliver our service.
- A logical and organised approach to your workload, skilled in problem solving and able to provide practical and lawful solutions in a variety of practice areas.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with good legal drafting skills.
- Strong IT skills, including experience using Outlook, MS Word and MS Teams.
