As Financial Controller, you will oversee day‑to‑day financial operations, month‑end, year‑end reporting and compliance, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and robust controls. You will lead a significant systems upgrade as the business transitions from a heavily customised SAP Business One environment to SAP S/4HANA.
Responsibilities
- Lead project management for the ERP implementation, ensuring full governance, structure, and delivery against timeline and scope.
- Take ownership of monthly P&L and balance sheet reporting down to gross margin.
- Review and approve financials prepared by the FP&A Analyst, ensuring alignment with Group deadlines.
- Oversee monthly journals, invoice postings, revenue reconciliation and associated adjustments.
- Manage and review key COGS accounts, including inventory, bad debts and carriage.
- Lead intercompany reconciliations and oversee formal balance sheet reconciliations for all revenue/COGS‑related accounts.
- Support budgeting and forecasting cycles.
- Manage finance‑related projects, collaborating cross‑functionally where required.
- Support FD with ad hoc analysis and strategic initiatives.
- Oversee audit processes (annual and interim).
- Drive continuous improvement, identifying and implementing process enhancements.
- Step in to deputise for the Finance Director when needed.
- Maintain and monitor robust control frameworks across management accounting processes.
Profile
- Professionally qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) - essential. Due to team structure, only fully qualified candidates will be considered.
- Demonstrable ERP implementation experience, ideally involving SAP B1 and/or SAP S/4HANA, with at least one full end‑to‑end implementation.
- Strong project management experience, with clear evidence of leading complex change or system implementations.
- Highly analytical with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced Excel capability and strong data‑automation mindset.
- Proven ability to manage change and drive continuous improvement.
