Join a growing quality team where you'll support supplier approval, raw material compliance, and quality assurance activities. Working closely with Quality, Procurement, Production, and NPD teams, you'll conduct supplier assessments, manage specifications, and ensure food safety and regulatory standards are met. Manage and coordinate the raw material supplier approval and monitoring process. Review, assess, and approve raw material specifications to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Conduct supplier risk assessments, audits, and performance reviews, maintaining Approved Supplier records. Investigate supplier non-conformances, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventative actions. Support raw material and finished product testing programmes, ensuring accurate documentation and traceability. Maintain supplier and quality documentation while supporting food safety, certification, and quality management systems.

A successful Quality Technologist should have:

  • 1-2 years' experience in a Quality, Supplier Quality, Quality Assurance, or Quality technologist role within the food, nutrition, pharmaceutical, or related manufacturing sectors.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and quality management systems, including HACCP, ISO, FSSC 22000, and GFSI-recognised standards.
  • Knowledge of UK and EU food legislation, supplier approval processes, and quality compliance requirements.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented professional with excellent communication skills and experience in data analysis, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
