The Assistant Buyer position is based in Lichfield working for a large business services organisation. This role is full time with 2 days working from home. This Assistant Buyer plays a significant role in the business and offers progression. Description Supporting procurement procedures within the business to ensure cost-effectiveness. Assisting in the negotiation of supplier contracts to achieve favourable terms. Working closely with cross-functional teams to determine procurement needs and specifications. Conducting market research to identify new potential suppliers and products. Maintaining accurate supplier and product records within procurement databases. Monitoring inventory levels and placing orders to replenish stocks as needed. Resolving issues and discrepancies with orders and invoices. Contributing to the continuous improvement of procurement processes and practices.Profile A successful Assistant Buyer should have: Prior experience in a procurement or purchasing role, preferably within the industrial / manufacturing sector. Proficiency in using procurement software and tools. Strong negotiation and communication skills. A detail-oriented approach with strong organisational skills. Able to commute to Lichfield 3 days per week Can work well in a team.Job Offer An attractive salary package ranging from £27,000 to £30,000. 2 days working from home.
