We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant for a fixed-term contract in Wakefield. The role involves supporting the Accounting & Finance department within the industrial/manufacturing sector.

Description

We are currently recruiting an Accounts Assistant for a 3-6 month contract to support a busy finance team.

This role can be weighted towards Payroll/Wages or Purchase Ledger, depending on the candidate\’s experience, so we\’re keen to hear from applicants with strengths in either area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing Payroll/Wages or managing the Purchase Ledger (role emphasis flexible)
  • Working with SAP Business One on a daily basis
  • Supporting the finance team with general accounts duties as required
  • Ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal financial procedures

Profile

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Essential: Proven experience using SAP Business One
  • Experience in Payroll/Wages and/or Purchase Ledger
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced finance environment

Qualifications

  • AAT or CIMA qualification beneficial but not essential
  • Candidates with strong practical experience are very welcome to apply
