My client is a successful property organisation based in Birmingham city centre looking for a 1st line IT Support Engineer.
Description
- Provide first-line IT support to users, responding to queries and troubleshooting issues.
- Log and manage support tickets, ensuring timely resolution or escalation where necessary.
- Set up and configure hardware, software and user accounts.
- Monitor and maintain IT systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with basic network troubleshooting and connectivity issues.
- Support colleagues with technical guidance and advice.
- Document processes and update technical manuals as needed.
- Collaborate with the wider IT team to improve systems and processes.
Profile
A successful 1st Line IT Support Engineer should have:
- Previous experience in 1st Line IT support role.
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills and a logical approach to problem-solving.
- Familiarity with setting up and maintaining hardware and software systems.
- Basic knowledge of networking and connectivity principles.
- Excellent communication skills to assist users effectively.
- Organised and able to prioritise tasks in a busy environment.
- Can commute to Birmingham City Centre
