Job Description

The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for:

  • On-site daily at the Weston MA or Medford, MA project location
  • Reporting directly into the Project Manager and Superintendent, working with Project Engineer
  • Establishing and maintaining project schedules
  • Reviewing plans and specifications for coordination and value engineering
  • Assisting in the review, processing and tracking of all RFI\’s, Submittals, Shop Drawings, etc.
  • Preparing and maintaining project logs
  • Tracking all permits required by governing jurisdiction
  • Helping with the bidding and buy-out of materials, services and scopes of work
  • Ensuring that the project costs are properly documented, controlled and forecasted on a monthly basis

The Successful Applicant

The right candidate will have:

  • 2+ years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager with a commercial or multifamily GC
  • Bachelor\’s degree in construction management, architecture or engineering
  • Experience as a an APM on large scale wood framed Multifamily projects preferred
  • Procore, Building Connected, MS Suite
  • Motivation to grow/expand their career
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbally
  • Strong organization & time-management
  • Ability to negotiate contracts, manage personnel, meet deadlines and goals, and maintain confidentiality
