Job Description
- Evaluate and qualify alternative electronic components to manage obsolescence and extend product lifecycle
- Perform engineering verification and laboratory testing at the PCBA component level
- Investigate and resolve faults through structured root cause analysis at both PCBA and system levels
- Define test requirements and oversee implementation with external suppliers
- Maintain and update technical documentation to support production and design transfer
- Provide technical input to improve PCBA, wiring looms, and electro-mechanical assemblies
- Support engineering change processes, including documentation and compliance activities
- Contribute to design for manufacture, assembly, and test initiative
The Successful Applicant
You will be an experienced Electrical bias Engineer, ideally with experience in a Manufacturing environment, along with:
- A recognised qualification, ideally in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
- Skilled in interpreting electronic circuits and using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and signal generators
- Familiar with PCBA manufacturing processes, test methodologies, and electronic circuit analysis
- Confident in using structured problem-solving techniques and engineering tools
- Adaptable, self-driven, and comfortable working across disciplines in a regulated environment
