This firm is a small, but rapidly growing firm with offices across the Home Counties. They specialise in all areas of Family Law and are committed to supporting their clients through difficult times, whilst ensuring they achieve the best outcomes for them.
Job Description
The Supervising Solicitor will hold the following responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality client care to vulnerable individuals and families.
- Manage a caseload of family law matters which could include; non-molestation orders, Child Arrangements Orders, divorce, and private children law cases from inception to completion.
- Prepare legal documents; court applications, witness statements, bundles, and briefs for counsel.
- Efficiently manage files using our case management system, Leap.
- Participate in client conferences & counsel collaborations.
- Advise clients in relation to their legal issues and progress cases with courts and professionals.
- Navigate legal aid applications via CCMS and ensure compliance.
- Manage the team of Solicitors, Paralegals and Admin team.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Supervising Solicitor should have the following skills and experience:
- Be a Qualified solicitor
- Strong background of working within Family Law
- Prior experience of working in Legal Aid
- Proven ability to manage and lead a team effectively
- Already holding a Supervising Accreditation would be an advantage, but the firm would also support you with achieving this.
- Excellent knowledge of regulatory and professional standards within the industry.
- Capability to handle complex legal matters and provide sound advice.
- Strong organisational skills to oversee case management and meet deadlines.
- Commitment to fostering professional development within the team.
