The role sits within a recognised specialist function that continues to expand its footprint and reputation for high‑quality advisory and systems expertise.

Job Description

This London‑based Treasury Consultant role sits within the Treasury Systems capability and plays a pivotal part in designing and delivering technology‑enabled treasury change. You will collaborate closely with global delivery teams, guiding projects from initial design through to implementation, testing, and go‑live. Alongside client delivery, you will support the development of internal tools, knowledge, and methodologies that strengthen my client’s consulting proposition.

  • Lead end‑to‑end client engagements, ensuring Treasury and Payment technology programmes are delivered to scope, quality, and timeline expectations.
  • Take responsibility for core project artefacts, including status reporting, risk/issue oversight, scope definition, and financial monitoring.
  • Develop well‑structured functional, accounting, and technical solution designs that align with client objectives and operational needs.
  • Direct and supervise configuration activity, solution walkthroughs, system demonstrations, and hands‑on testing phases.
  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of integration testing and user acceptance cycles.
  • Produce clear training materials and deliver tailored training sessions for client teams.
  • Identify emerging delivery risks, anticipate potential blockers, and implement mitigation strategies with timely escalation where required.
  • Serve as an expert advisor on payment processes, banking connectivity, message formats, and integration frameworks.
  • Steer cutover planning, readiness assessments, and deployment execution during project go‑lives.
  • Support business development by contributing to proposals, participating in client workshops, and showcasing my client’s capability offering.
  • Actively contribute to internal knowledge sharing, coaching of junior team members, and ongoing enhancement of consulting methodologies.

The Successful Applicant

  • At least five years of experience gained within finance, treasury, technology consulting, or a related professional services environment.
  • Background in leading project workstreams or smaller‑scale implementations, with exposure to planning, forecasting, and delivery governance.
  • Strong appreciation of corporate treasury processes and their interaction with broader finance functions.
  • Confident overseeing documentation, reviewing solution designs, and validating the quality of technical outputs.
  • Able to break down complex challenges using sound analytical and numerical reasoning.
  • Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and managing client expectations in a consulting environment.
  • Clear and effective communicator, capable of presenting information to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
