About Our Client: Our client is a leading logistics provider.

The Transport Operations Manager will lead a team of Supervisors, Drivers, and Clerical colleagues to ensure delivery, productivity, and financial performance indicators are met in order to provide best-in-class service to our client's customer. Based at the operation in Dartford, key responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver transport fleet management and compliance, upskilling colleagues with transportation safety/compliance.
  • Oversee performance delivery ensuring a high level of NPS/customer feedback is achieved.
  • Ensure all product returns and stock debriefs are achieved.
  • Deliver and track on transport KPIs/SLAs.
  • Encourage team engagement, development, and coaching, including encouragement of two-way feedback and ideas within the team to continuously focus on best-in-class delivery and improvement.
  • Internal and external stakeholder communication, including meetings with the customer.
  • Drive innovation and high performance through high levels of safe working and practices.
  • Ensure H&S delivery and regulations are adhered to.
  • Assist with driver hours in line with legislations, along with the organisation of service and maintenance of vehicles.
  • Ensure vehicle and driver records are managed in line with legislations and best practices.
  • Point of liaison for escalation and incident reports.

The successful Transport Operations Manager will live within a commuting distance of our client's operation in Dartford and be able to demonstrate the following:

  • In-depth transport leadership experience within a fast-paced delivery operation.
  • International or National CPC holder.
  • Passion for transport compliance with a strong knowledge in transport legislation.
  • Engaging leadership style, people management, and delegation experience.
  • Commercially focused.
  • Someone who thrives from innovation and development.
