Job Description

  • Commercial Ownership and JBP Delivery
    • Own full P&L accountability for the Tesco Eastern European range portfolio.
    • Lead the creation and delivery of a multi-year Eastern European Joint Business Plan forming part of the Tesco Buy Move Grow plan.
    • Deliver annual revenue, profit, and margin targets through effective forecasting, promotional planning, and pricing management.
  • Category and Range Development
    • Collaborate with Tesco's Buying and Category teams to identify and develop opportunities across the Eastern European category.
    • Lead range reviews, ensuring you deliver consumer-relevant, insight-backed proposals that support category growth.
  • Category Leadership & Insight Generation
    • Champion the business Category Captain in the Eastern European and World Foods categories.
    • Deliver best-in-class category presentations and performance reviews to Tesco, supported by robust data, shopper insights, and market intelligence.
  • Tesco Partnerships Expectation
    • Build strong, collaborative relationships across Tesco Buying, Category, and Supply teams.
    • Demonstrate a deep understanding of Tesco's business model, performance metrics, and long-term strategy range.

The Successful Applicant

  • A successful National Account Manager (NAM) will have:
  • Experience in managing a top 4 grocer, preferably Tesco.
  • Passion for food, culture, and consumer trends.
  • Preferable exposure of world foods.
  • Alignment with Values, Entrepreneurial, self-starter mindset with strong attention to detail and resourcefulness.
  • Demonstrable P&L ownership with a record of delivering profitable growth.
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical capability with experience using retail data sources (e.g., Nielsen, Kantar, or retailer data).
