Job Description:

  • Prepare year-end financial statements for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies from both balanced systems and incomplete records.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Support clients with accounting software (e.g., Quickbooks, Xero, Sage).
  • Support the accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Complete corporate tax, personal tax and partnership tax returns accurately and on time.
  • Prepare and review VAT returns and advise on VAT matters when needed.
  • Provide support during audits and financial reviews.
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with the wider accounting team to improve processes.
  • Respond to financial queries from internal and external stakeholders.

The Successful Applicant:

  • AAT Qualified or ACA/ACCA part qualified with at least 2 years of practice experience.
  • A background in accounting or finance, preferably within the professional services industry.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
