Job Description:
- Prepare year-end financial statements for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies from both balanced systems and incomplete records.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Support clients with accounting software (e.g., Quickbooks, Xero, Sage).
- Support the accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Complete corporate tax, personal tax and partnership tax returns accurately and on time.
- Prepare and review VAT returns and advise on VAT matters when needed.
- Provide support during audits and financial reviews.
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Collaborate with the wider accounting team to improve processes.
- Respond to financial queries from internal and external stakeholders.
The Successful Applicant:
- AAT Qualified or ACA/ACCA part qualified with at least 2 years of practice experience.
- A background in accounting or finance, preferably within the professional services industry.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
