Job Description

  • Act as the primary point of contact for multiple branded suppliers seeking to enter or expand within the UK food market.
  • Develop and execute tailored business development strategies for each supplier, focusing on both branded and private label food products.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify opportunities and challenges for new product launches.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers, including major retailers, wholesalers, and independent stores.
  • Present product ranges to key decision makers, negotiate terms, and secure listings in relevant sales channels.
  • Coordinate internal resources and external partners to ensure successful project delivery from concept to shelf.
  • Provide regular updates and feedback to suppliers, offering market insights and recommendations.

The Successful Applicant

  • Proven track record in sales roles within the food industry, with demonstrable experience in branded and private label product development and sales.
  • Experience in confectionery or chocolate sectors is highly desirable and will be a significant advantage.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the UK retail landscape.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple supplier projects simultaneously.
