Job Description
As the Supplier Quality Engineer you will be tasked with the following;
- Evaluate and monitor supplier quality performance to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Attend Supplier sites with a view to investigating processes, liaising both internally and externally to ensure design specifications, process controls, quality defects are rectified at the source.
- Develop and implement supplier quality assurance processes and procedures.
- Conduct supplier audits and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Support the Engineering & Manufacturing team with quality-related documentation and reports.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure supplier quality aligns with project requirements.
- Review and approve supplier quality documentation, including inspection reports and certifications.
- Maintain accurate records of supplier evaluations and quality assurance activities.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Supplier Quality Engineer should have:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Experience in supplier quality assurance within the industrial and manufacturing sector.
- Strong knowledge of quality standards and methodologies, such as ISO standards.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills for supplier collaboration.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
