Job Description

  • Assist in planning, resourcing, and structuring audit assignments.
  • Perform audit testing and review work completed by junior trainees.
  • Draft and review financial statements and audit work papers.
  • Support senior management on ad hoc advisory projects, including financial reviews and business-focused analysis.
  • Maintain strong technical standards and apply up-to-date audit methodology.
  • Build a solid understanding of clients' businesses, risks, and operational challenges.
  • Identify issues early and contribute to practical, effective solutions.
  • Coach, guide, and develop audit trainees throughout their training.
  • Contribute to achieving team targets and upholding quality and compliance standards.

The Successful Applicant

  • ACA or ACCA part-qualified or newly qualified (or equivalent).
  • Typically 3-5 years' experience in external audit (experience supervising juniors is desirable).
  • Strong understanding of audit methodology and financial reporting standards.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to liaise professionally with clients.
  • Organised, proactive, and capable of managing workloads during busy periods.
  • Keen to develop, learn, and progress within a supportive audit team.
