Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver political strategies to transform sustainability efforts in the UK and ensure that NGO UK is a leading voice in the sector.
- Oversee the NGO's UK policy work on sustainable fuels.
- Line-manage a Senior Officer.
- Engage with the UK legislative processes influencing UK policy to decarbonise faster.
- Engage with policymakers, industry and other NGOs to drive forward policy change.
- Serve as a key point of contact for policymakers, industry, media, and stakeholders.
- Represent the organisation at external events and in the media.
- Organise and deliver impactful events and campaigns.

Essential:
- 7+ years of experience in policy or advocacy, ideally in climate or energy.
- Strong understanding of how climate policy drives market change in the UK.
- Confidence and motivation to engage with senior political, industry, start-up, and civil society leaders.
- Excellent communication and strategic thinking skills.
- Experience in project management, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Enthusiasm for working in an international team and achieving real-world change.
- Knowledge of aviation, shipping, or sustainable fuels is an advantage but curiosity, political and economic insight, and drive matter more.
A competitive salary ranging from Β£68,000 to Β£74,000 per annum.
