About Our Client
Michael Page have been exclusively engaged by a forward thinking East Midlands based organisation as they develop an exciting new product into commercial manufacture. As part of an industry leading joint venture, our client has invested heavily in technology and IP resulting in a longer term plan to develop a purpose built facility to manufacture this innovative new product.
Job Description
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will report into the Group Technical Director. Working with the innovation teams, they will lead on the design and development of the new manufacturing facility, technology transfer, and implement a manufacturing execution system. Longer term, the role will form part of the Senior Leadership Team for the operational manufacturing site.
Core responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders to build and commission the new site
- Process Engineering / optimisation
- Liaising with product development teams on industrialisation and technology implementation
- Project and team leadership
- Analytical challenge on all short, medium and long term plans
- Driving best in class health & safety
The Successful Applicant
The successful Senior Manufacturing Engineer will:
- Have strong process engineering experience within blue-chip manufacture
- Demonstrate proven project management skills
- Possess demonstrable experience in manufacturing CAPEX, line layouts, and factory moves
- Have a pragmatic, growth mindset and analytical approach
- Possess the ambition to grow into a Senior Leadership role or have existing operations/engineering leadership experience
