This opportunity is for a sizeable organisation in Coalville. They offer hybrid working and free onsite parking.
The Senior Accounts Payable's duties will include but are not limited to:
- Processing and verifying supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Matching invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes, resolving discrepancies with suppliers and internal teams.
- Preparing and processing weekly/monthly payment runs in line with company controls.
- Maintaining accurate supplier accounts and reconciling statements.
- Responding to supplier and internal queries professionally and promptly.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, audit requirements, and VAT regulations.
- Supporting month-end closing activities and reporting as required.
A successful Accounts Payable professional should have:
- Experience in Accounts Payable or a similar accounting role.
- Knowledge of accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- A proactive approach to improving processes and addressing challenges.
