About Our Client
This role is with a reputable multi-million turnover organisation, they are hugely growing and evolving. They are looking for a temporary Credit Manager initially with a view to go permanent, hybrid working overseeing a small team based in Runcorn.
Job Description
- Overseeing a small team to help delegate, manage and coach.
- Manage the credit control function, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts.
- Review and approve credit applications in line with company policies and procedures.
- Monitor customer accounts and conduct regular credit risk assessments.
- Work closely with the sales and finance teams to resolve payment disputes and queries.
- Prepare and present regular reports on credit and collections performance to senior management.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and payment agreements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company guidelines.
- Provide guidance and support to the team in meeting credit control objectives.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Credit Manager should have:
- Proven experience in credit management position.
- ICM/CICM (desirable not essential).
- Strong knowledge of credit management principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
