Job Description
The Part Time Accountant will:
- Payment & Banking: Process weekly and ad‑hoc payment runs, load payments through banking platforms, monitor daily bank balances, and complete bank reconciliations.
- Financial Processing: Maintain accurate general ledger entries, support month‑end and quarter‑end close (journals, accruals, reconciliations), and manage accounting schedules and internal controls.
- Reporting & Compliance: Assist with management reporting and financial statements, prepare and submit monthly/quarterly VAT returns, and ensure compliance with HMRC and group policies.
- Additional Support: Maintain organised financial records, assist with audit preparation, contribute to process improvements, and handle general ad‑hoc accounting tasks.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Part Time Accountant should have:
- A strong background in accounting, ideally within the property industry.
- Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance.
