Job Description
- Provide expert advice on complex risk, compliance, and regulatory matters.
- Support and promote a positive compliance culture within the firm.
- Manage risk and compliance projects and collaborate on new business initiatives.
- Analyse data to improve processes and update key documents.
- Develop policies, communications, and training programs.
- Monitor legal changes and escalate high-risk issues as needed.
- Mentor junior team members and handle ad-hoc tasks.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Risk & Best Practice Manager should have:
- Extensive experience of working in risk and compliance in a law firm
- Advanced knowledge of core compliance areas including SRA Standards, data protection, and anti-money laundering for an international law firm.
- Strong decision-making skills based on experience in a similar role.
- Ability to work effectively within a team, proactively supporting colleagues.
- Consistently meets deadlines for own projects and workstreams.
