Job Description
- Business Partnering: Collaborate closely with legal fee earning teams to improve profitability, working capital, and financial compliance.
- WIP Review & Forecasting: Lead monthly one-to-one WIP review meetings with Matter Managers to produce, track, and refine billing estimates.
- Matter Management: Oversee matter hygiene through regular maintenance activities including write-offs, closures of dormant matters, and review of aged WIP and client balances.
- Leaver Transition: Manage reassignment of matters from departing or inactive fee earners.
- Data Quality Oversight: Partner with legal and business support teams to improve matter data integrity.
- Timesheet Compliance: Analyse and report on missing time data to Unit Heads to boost timely timesheet submissions.
- KPI Development: Work with finance teams to refine KPIs and guide end-users on metrics that drive sustainable growth
- Debt Management Support: Assist fee earners and Credit Control in effectively managing debt ledgers and collections.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across all levels of the business.
- Risk & Opportunity Analysis: Identify financial risks and opportunities from contractual mechanisms and volumetric trends.
- Reporting & Strategy: Prepare regular progress updates to the Platform FD, Platform Head, and Board, helping shape strategy for the evolving Revenue Controller function.
- First Line Financial Support: Act as the go-to contact for financial queries from fee earners, offering insight and support where needed.
