Job Description

  • Leadership & Operational Delivery
    • Oversee day-to-day factory operations, ensuring all work aligns with the production plan.
    • Maintain factory capacity and manage staffing levels around holidays, sickness and absence.
    • Drive accountability and consistency across all teams.
    • Maintain accurate production schedules and collaborate closely with planning.
  • Safety, Quality & Compliance
    • Lead all Health & Safety policies, promote a positive safety culture and investigate incidents where required.
    • Uphold quality and technical standards, working closely with technical teams on investigations and audits.
    • Champion GMP and CAYGO standards, supporting the business in achieving and maintaining BRC AA+ certification.
    • Lead the weekly end-of-week deep clean, ensuring high housekeeping and hygiene standards.
  • Performance & Continuous Improvement
    • Drive efficiency, run rates and plan adherence.
    • Monitor wastage, yields and giveaway, pushing for improvements.
    • Collaborate with Engineering on breakdowns, fabrication and improvement works.
    • Lead and contribute to continuous improvement projects and support NPD activity.
  • People Leadership
    • Inspire, motivate and develop teams with a culture of communication, empowerment and accountability.
    • Maintain and manage the factory training/skills matrix, closing capability gaps.
    • Apply strong decision-making and critical thinking to achieve the best outcomes for the business and customers.

The Successful Applicant

  • Food manufacturing background preferred
  • Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing and production environment
  • Strong understanding of safety, quality and technical standards
  • Ability to drive performance and continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Confidence in leading diverse teams in fast-paced settings

What’s on Offer

  • £60,000 - £70,000 salary, depending on experience.
  • Weekly payments for your convenience.
  • 45-hour contract with working hours to be agreed.
  • 20 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays.
