About Our Client: Michael Page is working exclusively with an innovative food manufacturer to recruit an Operations Manager to join them in a time of significant growth. Founded less than 2 years ago, this Liverpool based organisation has had a significant impact on the UK ecommerce food market, emerging as a key player in this space. Following significant month on month growth, they are currently exploring expansion plans to increase capacity, manage increasing demand and develop the business further.
Job Description: Responsibilities will include:
- Strategically identify the growth opportunities through process improvement, capacity management and expansion in-line with the business scale up ambition.
- Oversee all production operations including production plan adherence, labour planning and cost control, raw material planning and asset management.
- Collaborate with the founders to track costs, understand margin opportunity and develop an operational budget.
- Manage, lead and mentor the production staff, identifying areas of development and implementing training to ensure each team member is adequately skilled.
- Identify and implement Continuous Improvement opportunities to streamline processes and reduce waste.
- Drive Health, Safety and Quality to ensure the highest of standards are maintained.
- Collaborate with and manage the office team including online, customer service, design/web development and marketing to ensure efficiency across all aspects of the organisation.
The Successful Applicant: The successful Operations Manager will possess a range of the following:
- Demonstrable experience in a pivotal role during organisation or site growth.
- Food industry experience (bakery would be advantageous).
- Experience in managing operational budgets.
- Ability to work on own initiative with high level of personal accountability.
- Strong leadership acumen with experience of managing production teams within an FMCG environment.
- Tenacity with proven experience with change management.
- Accountability and integrity.
- Forward thinking with a positive mindset.
