Job Description
As the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer you will be looking after the following
- Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance on production machinery.
- Machinery includes corrugators, printers, slotters, die cutters, folder gluers, conveyors and associated handling systems. Undertake mechanical fitting, adjustments, alignment, lubrication, belt/roller changes, guard repairs.
- Diagnose and repair faults to minimise downtime in the manufacturing process.
- Ensure all machinery complies with health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to implement process improvements.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
- Support installation and commissioning of new machinery as required.
- Adhere to a rotating shift pattern to ensure 24/7 operational coverage.
- Contribute to the development of maintenance schedules and practices.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Mechanical Maintenance Engineer should have:
- Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within the industrial or manufacturing sector.
- Level 3 NVQ or equivalent engineering qualification.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in an engineering environment.
