Job Description
- Process payroll on a regular basis, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain and update payroll records with employee information and salary details.
- Calculate and process statutory payments, including tax, National Insurance and pensions.
- Respond to payroll queries from employees and management.
- Ensure compliance with all payroll-related regulations and legislation.
- Prepare payroll reports for management as needed.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Support audits by providing necessary payroll data and documentation.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Payroll Officer should have:
- Experience in managing and processing payroll within a professional setting.
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong communication skills for liaising with employees and management.
