About Our Client: Our public sector client is embarking on a significant workforce restructure and is seeking an experienced HR professional to provide hands‑on support to the HR team during a critical three‑month period.
Job Description: As Interim HR Consultant you will play a key role in supporting the HR team with the delivery of a workforce reduction process, including:
- Preparing, reviewing and supporting business case documentation
- Supporting the end‑to‑end consultation process, including drafting letters, timelines and meeting materials
- Advising managers on policy, process, risk and best practice
- Providing HR support during formal meetings and employee discussions
- Tracking workforce data, consultation actions and outcomes
- Ensuring all activity is delivered in line with employment legislation and organisational policies
- Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism throughout a sensitive period
The Successful Applicant: We're looking for an Interim HR Consultant professional with:
- Strong experience in restructures, redundancies and consultation
- Proven ability to produce and quality‑check business cases
- Knowledge of employment law and public‑sector HR processes
- Strong stakeholder skills, particularly in challenging or sensitive situations
- Ability to work with pace, accuracy and calm under pressure
- Experience in unionised environments (advantageous but not essential)
- Public Sector and Government experience is desirable but not essential.
