Job Description
With the office set to grow to around 60 employees, they are looking for a proactive, organised and people-focused HR & Office Coordinator to play a key role in supporting employees while ensuring the office runs smoothly and efficiently.
This is a varied role offering the opportunity to build your HR experience while taking ownership of the day-to-day coordination of a busy professional office.
- HR Support
- Provide day-to-day HR administration, maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems
- Support the recruitment process, including preparing job adverts, candidate screening, interview coordination and offers
- Coordinate onboarding and ensure new starters receive a smooth and engaging induction
- Maintain accurate employee information in line with GDPR and company requirements
- Manage holiday, sickness and absence records
- Support performance reviews, appraisals and other people-related processes
- Provide administrative support on employee relations matters, escalating issues where appropriate
- Assist with the implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures
- Act as a first point of contact for routine HR queries from employees and managers
- Organise employee engagement activities, social events and charity initiatives
- Work closely with the wider HR team based at head office
- Office Coordination
- Take responsibility for the smooth day-to-day running of the Manchester office
- Coordinate suppliers, including cleaning, stationery, utilities and maintenance providers
- Liaise with building management to resolve facilities and office-related issues
- Coordinate workspace and equipment requirements for new starters, working closely with IT
- Manage meeting rooms, office supplies and general workplace organisation
- Support health & safety processes and ensure the office remains a safe and welcoming environment
- Assist with internal events, employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives Act as the main point of contact for office, facilities and workplace queries
- Identify opportunities to improve office processes and the overall employee experience
- The Successful Applicant he successful HR & Office Coordinator will ideally have:
- Previous experience in an HR, office coordination or facilities-based role, ideally within a professional services environment
- A good understanding of HR processes, policies and procedures
- CIPD Level 3 qualification or a willingness to work towards one would be advantageous
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, hands-on approach
- Confident communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships across the business
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and HR systems
- The ability to work independently while also being a collaborative member of the wider team
- A practical, solutions-focused approach with a genuine interest in supporting people and creating a positive workplace
