Job Description

  • Legal Updates & Best Practice: Organise and lead regular knowledge-sharing meetings, identify discussion topics, and prepare supporting materials. Keep fee earners informed of emerging issues, policy initiatives, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Knowledge Resources: Review industry publications and online resources, disseminate relevant updates, maintain intranet pages, and develop a library of best practice documents, checklists, and guides.
  • Training: Coordinate and deliver training programmes for trainees, newly qualified solicitors, and assistants. Manage the department's training budget, source external courses and speakers, and monitor CPD compliance.
  • Practice Support: Act as a point of contact for fee earner queries, providing guidance and research on complex matters.
  • Marketing & Business Development: Collaborate on client-facing content such as newsletters, briefings, and thought leadership pieces. Support tender presentations and bids, and promote cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Knowledge Management: Participate in firm-wide knowledge initiatives, leveraging technology and resources to drive innovation and consistency.
  • Liaison with Support Teams: Work closely with IT and library services to optimise knowledge and training processes.

The Successful Applicant

  • Solicitor with at least 5 years' PQE in Private Wealth, ideally across a range of work areas.
  • Strong technical knowledge and research skills.
  • Previous PSL experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Confident with IT systems, document management platforms, and digital knowledge tools.
  • Committed to using technology to improve processes.
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, and able to support fee earners' development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally.
