We're seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Manager to join our Property team at a large, respected global charity. This hybrid role offers a unique opportunity to lead essential M&E programmes that support the charity's Group 5-Year Investment Plan - improving the safety and quality of our residential portfolio across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver M&E work programmes in line with strategic investment goals.
- Lead procurement, contract management, and delivery of M&E projects through contractors or specialist consultants.
- Ensure building safety compliance, including all statutory and regulatory requirements (e.g., Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety Act 2021).
- Manage M&E servicing and inspection schedules, ensuring robust quality assurance, certification review, and post-inspection sampling.
- Collaborate with the Planned and Cyclical Team to set budgets and ensure value for money.
- Oversee all M&E contractor performance and contracts, ensuring best practice and clear procurement strategies.
- Advise the Head of Property and Property Managers on M&E-related issues emerging from planned or responsive maintenance works.
The Successful Applicant
What We're Looking For:
- A recognized professional qualification in engineering (mechanical or electrical).
- Minimum 5 years' experience commissioning and delivering M&E programmes in residential settings.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation, including the Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety Act 2021, and applicable M&E safety regulations.
- Proven ability to manage contractors, budgets, and programmes in a compliant, cost-effective manner.
- A team player with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
