About Our Client

This Legal Counsel- Ethics & Compliance is based in London and would suit a qualified Lawyer with focused compliance experience or a Corporate Compliance professional who has contract review experience. It involves:

  • Provide legal advice and guidance on compliance matters across the organisation.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations to mitigate legal risks.
  • Review and draft contracts, agreements, and other legal documentation.
  • Deliver training and support to internal teams on compliance and legal matters.
  • Monitor changes in legislation and advise on their impact on the organisation.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Legal Counsel-Compliance should have:

  • A degree in law and qualification to practise as a solicitor or equivalent. Candidates who are not qualified lawyers, but have the relevant compliance expertise & experience will be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to manage legal risks and provide strategic advice.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills for contracts and agreements.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience in collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
