Interim Procurement Lead role based in Leeds with an immediate start opportunity to work with a growing global firm.

About Our Client: Our client is on an exciting growth journey and is looking for support within the Procurement team to help streamline suppliers, cut costs through expert negotiations, and manage a number of IT & Tech suppliers as well as other categories including Professional Services & HR. The role can be based in Leeds or the North East and would be working on a hybrid basis.

Job Description: As Interim Procurement Lead, duties will include, however, not be limited to:

  • Working in a stand-alone role within procurement.
  • Managing a number of contracts with Tier 1 suppliers to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of services.
  • Negotiating contracts and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Monitoring supplier performance and ensuring compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify procurement needs and priorities.
  • Analysing market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and innovation.

The Successful Applicant: A successful Interim Procurement Lead should have:

  • Proven experience in procurement - can be category agnostic or have generalist procurement experience.
  • Strong contract negotiation and supplier management skills with Tier 1 or large suppliers.
  • Knowledge of procurement policies, procedures, and best practices.
