The Director of Finance is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), responsible for providing strategic financial leadership to ensure the sustainable growth, financial integrity, and performance of the organisation. The main priority is the management of the operational ledger and keeping the team steady by offering support. The postholder will lead on all aspects of financial management, strategy, planning, reporting, and control, ensuring that the subsidiary delivers demonstrable value and financial benefit to the parent organisation.
Working collaboratively with the Trust's Finance Directorate, the Director of Finance will provide assurance on the subsidiary's financial governance and stewardship of public funds, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and the principles of NHS accountability.
The Successful Applicant:
- A professional qualification in accounting or finance (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
- Proven experience in leading finance teams as the most senior finance person in the organisation.
- Background working in healthcare, NHS or a large/complex organisation.
