About Our Client: A large international bank based in London.
The Fixed Income Technical Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing technical solutions to support the organization's IT infrastructure and business processes. This role involves working closely with various stakeholders to understand their technical needs and providing detailed analysis and recommendations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical analysis, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
An ideal candidate would have recently delivered these capabilities in another bank or similar regulated organization within financial services. The candidate is expected to design and deliver end-to-end business processes, applications, and information architecture solutions integrating legacy, tactical, and strategic components.
Experience with On-prem, On Cloud, Hybrid, Azure Integration, Databricks, SQL Server, Oracle, XML, Python, Power Apps, BAIS, Digital Workflow, Process Orchestration, BPMN, ECB Risk & Finance Data Model is highly desirable for this role. Strong understanding of banking products and the relevant related financial instruments within Fixed Income.
- Solution Design: Develop and design technical solutions that meet business requirements and align with the organization's IT strategy.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of solution architectures, including system diagrams, data flow diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business leaders, IT teams, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure solutions meet their needs.
- Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools that can enhance the organization's solutions and overall IT landscape.
- Standards and Best Practices: Establish and enforce solution architecture standards and best practices to ensure consistency and quality across projects.
- Project Support: Provide architectural guidance and support for IT projects, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with the overall IT strategy.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with solution architectures, ensuring the security and reliability of IT systems.
The Successful Applicant:
- Education & Qualifications: Educated to degree level or equivalent working experience.
- Knowledge & Experience: Strong experience in solution architecture, with a proven track record of designing and implementing technical solutions. Strong understanding of banking products and the relevant related financial instruments within Fixed Income. Strong experience delivering technology solutions within Fixed Income. Experience delivering Booking Model transformation is advantageous.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in architectural frameworks, cloud computing, software development, and cybersecurity. Certifications: Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or similar are preferred.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with Agile framework; JIRA & Confluence expertise. Knowledge of front-to-back-office business processes in Fixed Income products and an understanding of technology interfaces with business processes and products. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate appropriate, concise, and accurate information. Excellent interpersonal skills, in particular service orientation, organizational awareness, and people empathy. Fluency in written and spoken English. Ability to operate sensitively and effectively in a multicultural environment. Results driven, with a strong sense of accountability. The ability to manage large workloads and tight deadlines. The ability to operate with urgency and prioritize work accordingly.
