Job Description
Payroll Associate (Outsourced)
- Manage a portfolio of payrolls across various frequencies (monthly, weekly, quarterly, and annually).
- Process payroll end‑to‑end, including fixed and variable pay elements such as hourly wages, bonuses, commissions, and absence calculations.
- Calculate statutory payments (e.g., SSP, SMP, SPP) and apply payroll deductions for new starters and leavers, including holiday pay adjustments.
- Ensure accurate and timely communication of PAYE liabilities to clients.
- Handle tax code updates and submit Real Time Information (RTI) reports promptly.
- Provide administrative support for auto‑enrolment processes.
- Respond to payroll‑related queries professionally and efficiently.
- Assist with correspondence from HMRC and other statutory bodies.
- Support year‑end payroll activities and reporting.
- Perform general administrative tasks associated with payroll operations.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
The Successful Applicant
Payroll Associate (Outsourced)
- Exposure (ideally 1 year minimum) within a firm or bureau, in the payroll function
- Willingness to take on wider payroll responsibility and progress himself
- Happy to adhere to office based training initially then move towards a hybrid working pattern
- Proficient in picking up payroll systems quickly as well as client needs
- Happy to collaborate with multiple teams internally
- Strong communication skills and high attention to detail
- Happy to commute to Farnborough (Hampshire)

- Salary: Offering from £28,000 - £33,000 per annum
- Study Support (post probation)
- Permanent, Full Time position
- Office based training initially then hybrid working pattern offered (typically 3 in and 2 out)
