Overview: Employee Relations Advisor - 12 month FTC. Hybrid but with site visits across London, Kent, Essex and Watford.

About Our Client: Our client is a large UK home‑building and construction organisation with a national footprint and a strong regional operating model. The business delivers residential developments at scale, supported by centralised group functions and robust governance. It operates in a fast‑paced, operationally driven environment with a strong emphasis on quality, process and consistency.

Job Description:

  • Managing a varied ER caseload including investigations, grievances, disciplinaries, performance and absence cases.
  • Taking ownership of the fact‑finding and legwork required for ER matters, producing clear and thorough documentation.
  • Coaching and advising line managers, supporting them to build confidence and capability.
  • Ensuring ER activity is compliant with policy, process and employment law.
  • Working closely with the wider ER team and newly appointed ER Manager.
  • Operating effectively in a high‑volume environment, typically managing around 10 cases concurrently.
  • Hybrid role with 2 days per week on site. Sites across East, West and North London, Essex, Kent and Watford.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car is highly desirable due to travel between sites. Site location will vary depending on where management support is required.

The Successful Applicant:

  • Proven experience in an ER‑focused role, ideally within a fast‑paced or operational environment.
  • Comfortable working autonomously and managing complexity.
  • Strong investigation skills with a process‑driven approach.
  • Open on CIPD level (qualified or working towards).
  • Resilient, pragmatic and solutions‑focused.
  • Experience in construction, engineering or similar operational sectors is beneficial but not essential.

  • Competitive salary ranging from ÂŁ45,000 to ÂŁ50,000 per annum depending on experience.
  • Car allowance of ÂŁ6,500.
  • 26 days of holiday plus bank holidays.
