An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Director to ensure customers receive unrivalled technical support in the formwork and scaffolding industry. The successful candidate will play a lead role in ensuring PERI is ahead of the market and competition by driving innovation and continuous improvement.
Key member of the Board of Directors in the UK reporting into the UK Managing Director, you will play a key role in the performance, strategic direction and long-term success of PERI UK.
- Lead an engineering organisation that provides first-class safety-orientated, cost-efficient formwork, shoring and systems and service offerings to clients for temporary works solutions.
- Further develop and implement a local engineering strategy based on UK requirements and the global PERI Group engineering strategy, including the continuous development of our talent and improvement of our processes.
- Lead the engineering management team and wider specialist product/sector focused teams who service a high volume of projects across the UK every day.
- Ensure robust governance, quality assurance and compliance frameworks are in place as well as handling all health and safety matters relating to PERI products.
- Represent PERI across the industry with key customers, industry bodies and trade shows.
- Work closely with Sales Director and commercial teams with technical expertise and leading technical support for complex/major projects.
- A key contributor to product development and engineering business systems with the German parent company and other PERI subsidiaries.
The Successful Applicant:
- Chartered Engineer (or equivalent) with a strong academic and work-related civil or structural background.
- Engineering leadership experience in the temporary works construction industry, including experience of formwork and shoring design/checking.
- Strong technical understanding and experience of construction projects for engineered structures and systems within the temporary works phase of the construction process.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
