Job Description

The Head of Transport will:

  • Review, develop and implement strategies to optimise the transport operations covering processes, systems, and team.
  • Manage and lead the transport team, ensuring clear communication and raising operational and financial performance.
  • Ensure all operations adhere to health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, specifically warehouse operations to meet / exceed client expectations.
  • Build and develop reporting to aid efficient business decisions.
  • Support investment decisions to build the national network.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Transport should have:

  • Proven experience in the development of a transport network.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of logistics processes and regulations.
  • Ability to analyse data and implement cost-effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ideally, experience of TMS implementation.
