Job Description

Advise trade unions and their members on a broad spectrum of employment law issues, including industrial action, collective bargaining, TUPE, and redundancy.

Represent clients in Employment Tribunal proceedings and High Court litigation, including discrimination, unfair dismissal, and whistleblowing claims.

Draft and negotiate employment contracts, policies, and collective agreements.

Provide strategic legal support on industrial relations matters, often in politically sensitive contexts.

Deliver training and legal updates to union officials and members.

Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to support wider public law and regulatory issues affecting union clients.

The Successful Applicant

You will be a qualified solicitor with at least 2 years\’ post-qualification experience in employment law, ideally with exposure to trade union or public sector work. A strong academic background, excellent drafting and advocacy skills, and a genuine interest in industrial relations and collective employment law are essential. Passion for social justice and a collaborative mindset will be key to thriving in this role.
