The client is a national law firm with offices across the UK. They have a large full-service office in central Leeds and are known as a great place to work with a high staff retention rate. They have a sizeable Employment practice which is ranked by the legal directories for Yorkshire.

Job Description

The Employment Partner will have responsibilities including:

  1. Onboarding existing contacts/clients
  2. Supporting the existing team dealing with respondent employment work
  3. Leading business development and winning new work
  4. Working as part of the national Employment UK team
  5. Helping manage junior lawyers in the team
  6. Collaborating with other departments to provide holistic legal solutions for clients
  7. Staying updated on changes in employment law and providing insights to clients and colleagues

The Successful Applicant

The ideal Employment Partner should have:

  1. Proven expertise in employment law from a large regional, national, or international law firm
  2. The ability to bring their own work and clients
  3. Experience in managing and mentoring a team
  4. Ideally some sector experience
  5. Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships
  6. Ties to Leeds
