Join Martin Brower as a Customer Service Driver β Assessor or Trainer
Are you an experienced Class 1 Customer Service Driver who is ready to become an assessor or trainer?
First off, we will train you up to be an assessor and/or trainer, and during your first few months you will be mostly training or assessing our new colleagues as we ramp up to full capacity. When not training or assessing you will be undertaking the usual duties of a Customer Service Driver helping us develop our transport operations and be part of our network expansion from day 1.
As a key part of our team, you\βll be responsible for delivering a mix of ambient, chilled, and frozen products-up to 4 drops per shift-ensuring each delivery is completed efficiently and accurately, in line with Martin Brower UK\βs procedures.
Your day-to-day as a driver will include:
- Completing thorough pre-departure vehicle checks and reporting any defects to the Transport Office.
- Verifying all goods are correct and securely loaded before departure.
- Following a set delivery schedule, logging arrival/departure times on a journey sheet or PDA.
- Carrying out essential delivery procedures: product checking, placement, and temperature probing-including unmanned deliveries.
- Keeping communication clear: Report any issues like delays, breakdowns, or delivery concerns promptly to the Transport Office.
End-of-journey duties:
- Clean and refuel your vehicle.
- Park as instructed and complete a debrief with the Transport Office.

- Clear understanding of EC Drivers\β Hours & Working Time Directive β because compliance and safety are non-negotiable.

What\βs on Offer
Salary: Β£19-Β£21 per hour plus weekend / bank holiday allowances
Trainer Allowance: Β£37.71 per week when actively training (min 4 hours training)
Assessor Allowance: Β£31.26 per week when actively assessing (minimum 1 assessment)
Full-time: Permanent β 4 on 4 off days
