Job Description:

  • Provide day‑to‑day delivery and oversight of operational functions across premises management, HR, governance, IT, finance admin, and systems.
  • Act as the operational point of contact, troubleshooting issues and coordinating with external HR and IT partners.
  • Support strategic planning, risk management, and organisational development.
  • Oversee office and facilities management, including compliance, insurance, suppliers, and business continuity.
  • Coordinate HR processes including recruitment, onboarding, policies, and wellbeing.
  • Lead governance support: Board administration, minutes, regulatory filings, and policy reviews.
  • Support finance administration: invoices, payroll, expenses, payment runs, and year‑end processes.
  • Oversee IT and data systems, software licences, user access, and GDPR compliance.
  • Maintain high quality internal systems, templates, and organisational documentation.
  • Contribute to learning, professional development, and continuous improvement of operations.

The Successful Applicant: A successful Operations Manager should have:

  • 3+ years' experience in operational leadership, office management, or charity infrastructure roles.
  • Strong experience across facilities, HR coordination, governance, IT systems, data protection, finance admin, and office management.
  • Skilled in managing external providers (HR, IT, finance).
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to streamline systems, solve problems proactively, and manage sensitive information.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft 365 and digital collaboration tools.
