Job Description

You will sit within the Banking & Lender Services Group and primarily support the Financial Services Disputes & Investigations team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Precedents & Resources: Creating and maintaining precedent documents, collating and annotating external resources, and directing fee earners to relevant materials.
  • Training Delivery: Designing and delivering internal training programmes for trainees, junior lawyers, and the wider team, including regular practice updates. Delivering client-facing training through virtual sessions, written updates, and in-person events, which may involve travel and presenting at conferences.
  • Legal Updates & Knowledge Management: Keeping the team informed of legal developments and their impact on practice, updating precedents and practice notes accordingly. Ensuring all materials are captured and maintained in the firm's knowledge database and promoting its use.
  • Practice Support: Responding to complex legal queries from fee earners. Identifying risks and working with the Risk team to address them.
  • Innovation & Efficiency: Identifying opportunities for process optimisation and technology adoption, working with innovation teams to implement solutions.
  • Thought Leadership & Business Development: Writing legal insights for the firm's website and external publications. Drafting responses for tenders and supporting client development initiatives.
  • Collaboration & Mentorship: Working closely with other Knowledge Lawyers across the firm and supporting trainees in developing research and knowledge skills.

The Successful Applicant

  • Qualified Solicitor with at least 5 years' PQE.
  • Experience in financial services disputes and/or investigations preferred but not essential.
  • Strong drafting, research, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly to internal and external audiences.
  • Confident presenter with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Familiarity with knowledge systems and legal technology tools.
