We are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive growth across the Central band of the UK. This is a high-potential region, where you will be the go-to expert for cutting-edge sensor technologies.

You will be working with OEMs, end-users and distributors to build deep technical and commercial relationships and increase sales. If you are a strategic hunter with strong technical acumen and the drive to work independently, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do:

  • Grow sales by targeting new and existing OEM customers and channel partners.
  • Deliver tailored technical solutions based on customer needs and budgets.
  • Drive business development through product presentations, training, and joint sales visits.
  • Partner with key distributors in order to maximise sales opportunities.
  • Provide pre- and post-sales technical support.
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and marketing events.
  • Regularly report on sales activity, forecast trends, and additional market intelligence.

The Successful Applicant:

  • Experience: Previous track record in B2B solution sales and account management, ideally within industrial automation.
  • Education: Degree in Engineering or Business (or equivalent) however relevant industry experience will also be considered.
  • Technical Aptitude: Comfortable with sensor technologies, industrial automation (e.g., drives, PLCs), and CRM tools (Salesforce preferred).
  • Personal Attributes: An independent sales professional that has a proven track record of overachieving sales targets.
  • Travel: Able to cover the Midlands territory, with overnight stays when required as well as international travel.
