Job Description

  • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes to support decision‑making.
  • Provide variance analysis and commentary on financial performance.
  • Management of Weekly Financial P&L including revenue analysis, monthly and year end reporting while being able to consolidate the information into concise reports.
  • Identifying cost savings and efficiencies.
  • Work closely with operational teams to ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Support the preparation of year-end accounts and audits.
  • Monitor and improve financial controls and processes.
  • Analyse key financial data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.

The Successful Applicant

A successful PQ Management Accountant should have:

  • Actively studying towards accounting qualification (such as ACCA, CIMA, or ACA).
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Be able to business partner at all levels within network.
  • Strong analytical skills and able to present results in a simple and clear manner.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within accounting and finance.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft and Google Reporting Suite applications.
  • Knowledge of the transport & distribution industry would be advantageous.
  • A detail‑oriented approach with excellent organisational skills.
