Our client is looking for a Assistant Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis.
The successful Assistant Accountant will be reporting into the Finance Director and support the day to day finance operations, ensuring accurate financial records and assisting with accounts preparation.

Job Description
Assistant Accountant Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Maintaining the purchase and sales ledger, including posting invoices and reconciling supplier statements
- Processing bank transactions
- Performing bank reconciliations
- Assisting with VAT returns
- Statutory reporting
- Supporting with month end
- Maintaining fixed asset register
- Supporting with adhoc duties
The Successful Applicant
The successful Assistant Accountant:
- AAT Qualified (desirable)
- Previous experience in a similar role (or Bookkeeping position)
- Strong attention to detail
- High level of accuracy
- Strong knowledge of accounting software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good knowledge of excel
- Experience of month end processes
